Future of the Left

Probably the best band to ever come out of Wales, Future of the Left are veteran noise rock/punk rock/whatever the hell they do artists. Professing to haveĀ formed in 2005 as part of a plea agreement following their involvement in an arms deal which left an actor playing Tony Blair dead, or at least pretending really well, over their 5 albums, they've laid the template for rock with an acidic wit and a crushing weight. Andy Falkous' vocals are inimitably idiosyncratic, with one of the most ferocious and instantly identifiable deliveries around, and the band's taut, muscular playing has seen them pulverise and beguile in equal measures throughout their existence. We're delighted to have them headline this year's edition, and they're one of our absolute favourite bands.
